Robert Herman appointed Voya Restaurant General Manager and Wesley Joe appointed Director of Rooms for Kor Hotel Group's Canadian debut - Loden Vancouver - opening March 2008.
Edel Forristal, General Manager of Loden Vancouver announces two new senior management appointments. Wesley Joe has been appointed Director of Rooms. Robert Herman has been appointed Voya Restaurant General Manager. Both Loden Vancouver and its Restaurant, Voya will open in March.
"Robert and Wesley are two vibrant individuals who will set high standards at our hotel," says Forristal. "They are both exceptional managers - professionals whose service philosophy will be immediately recognized and appreciated by our guests. The importance of their diverse hotel backgrounds and their contributions to the success of renowned urban hospitality destinations cannot be overstated. These talented and creative individuals will ensure Loden and Voya's positive mark on service in Vancouver. We are delighted to welcome them to these important posts."
* Wesley Joe: As Director of Rooms, Joe will lead the guest-service team. Managing the front desk, concierge and housekeeping departments, Joe will also be responsible for generating and promoting innovative and memorable ideas to enhance the guest experience. Wesley brings to the position a diverse hotel management background, including leadership roles as a Banquet Manager, Chief Steward, Guest Services Manager, Front Office Manager and Director of Housekeeping throughout his career with Marriott's Renaissance and Fairmont chains. Born and raised in Victoria, Wesley holds a Bachelor of Hospitality Management Degree from Vancouver Community College.
* Robert Herman: As Voya Restaurant's General Manager, Herman will work with Executive Chef Marc-Andre Choquette to develop a dynamic food and beverage program and to establish Voya as a prominent destination in Vancouver. Herman has held a number of high profile positions in the boutique hospitality industry in Vancouver. Most recently, Herman was the Assistant Wine Director for Cin Cin Ristorante and before that, Restaurant Manager and Sommelier for Diva at the Met and the Metropolitan Hotel Vancouver for six years. Robert Herman is a Certified Sommelier from the Canadian Sommelier Guild.
