Discovering the Silk Route October 24 - November 3 `City of Cairo'
>From October 24 to November 3, Sanafir Restaurant & Lounge explores Cairo, the mysterious and ancient capital city of Egypt on the next stop in the `Silk Route' series.
"Our goal with the Silk Route promotion has been to introduce guests to tastes of the Silk Route," says Executive Chef Mark McEwan. "We've created 'East meets West' selections where the main ingredients in dishes are complemented with pairings one would not normally expect."
Shake off the fall chill with the Bissaara Soup appetizer and then move onto the Cairo Trio, featuring lamb, prawns and scallops served with traditional Eastern sides but with modern panache - such as the pineapple and pomegranate tabouleh salad with mint yogurt.
Of course, no Egyptian meal would be complete without a nod to the pyramids. Savour Sanafir's Cheops Pyramid made from white and milk chocolate ganache with orange and hazelnuts, perfectly formed into a pyramid... and perfectly acceptable to pillage!
The 'City of Cairo' menu is $30 per person, exclusive of tax, beverage and gratuity.
